Recycling is an important concept for kids to learn about as it teaches them how to take care of the environment by reducing waste and conserving resources.

What is Recycling? Recycling is a way to make old things into new things. Instead of throwing things away, we can collect certain materials and use them to create brand new stuff. This helps the Earth and saves energy.

Materials That Can Be Recycled:

  1. Paper: Newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes, and used paper can be recycled to make new paper products.
  2. Plastic: Plastic bottles, containers, and some toys can be recycled. Look for the recycling symbol with a number inside it to know if it's recyclable.
  3. Glass: Glass bottles and jars can be melted down and made into new glass containers.
  4. Metal: Aluminum cans, steel cans, and even old metal toys can be recycled to make new things.
  5. Electronics: Old electronic gadgets like phones and computers can be recycled to recover valuable materials.
  6. Organic Waste: Set up a super fun science experiment in the backyard with a worm farm to help recycle and reduce all your food scraps.
